How do I set or change my contact type definitions?

From the PoliteMail menu choose Setup & Preferences > Account Admin. Select the Contacts & Accounts tab to change contact labels, group your contact types, and set reporting defaults.

Change Contact Labels

To change your contact labels:

From the PoliteMail menu choose Setup & Preferences> Account Admin.

Choose the Contacts & Accounts tab to open the Account and Contact Type Definitions page.

Click inside the box next to the icon you wish to change and type in the new name for that icon.

Grouping Contact Types

You can decide whether or not you want the system to automatically group a specific contact type into a list (found within the My Contacts folder).

From the PoliteMail menu choose Setup & Preferences > Account Admin. Choose the Contacts & Accounts tab to open the Account and Contact Type Definitions page.

Select how you would like each contact type to be listed from the dropdown boxes in the center of the page.

Setting Contact Type Reporting Defaults

From this same page, you can set a default tracking mode for a type of contact, and decide where to include certain contact types in your email results reports.

Select the reports in which you'd like a contact type to be included (or excluded) from the dropdown boxes to the right of the page.
