To navigate through the PoliteMail system, use the buttons found on the menu bar.

Click the PoliteMail button on the toolbar to show the dropdown menu of options. From this menu you can:
PoliteMail's Information Panel proves summarized contact information, quick access to tools, and a view into response data for email you send. To hide the information panel, click the flag icon on the PoliteMail toolbar.
The information panel is divided into two sections, Contact and Recent Response, and both can be minimized or maximized by clicking on their respective title headers.
The Contact Panel
At the top of the PoliteMail information panel is the Contact section, which has two views: Interactions and All Contacts.
Click the Interactions button to shows contact details related to an active email item. When you click on a new message in your inbox, the contact panel will display all related information about the sender. If that person is not in the system, the panel display will give you the option to add them. Below is a breakdown of the data and functions available from within the contact panel when focused on the interactions with an individual contact.
Clicking the All Contacts button will display the contact folder tree, which includes your accounts, contacts, recently added contacts, mailing lists, and saved searches.

The Recent Response Panel
At the bottom of the information panel is the recent response panel, which automatically displays the response to your messages
as they occur. Each response is displayed with the color-coded icon for the contact type, the contact's name and email address, and the date and time of the response (the most recent is at the top of the list). A second line displays an icon signaling the type of response and the subject line from the item being responded to. Below are examples of
what you can learn by monitoring response to your messages.

Whois/Network Research
Clicking the IP label next to each response will open a pop-up display containing the Whois information for this contact. This includes network information for your research purposes, including the IP address, domain, browser type, computer system, and internet service provider.
