To start your search, select Search from the PoliteMail main menu. This will open the Find PoliteMail Pro Contacts panel.
Build your search within using either contact names or keywords, or by choosing items from the three segmentation options (Attribute, Interaction, Mailing).
To expand a segment area, click the black arrow next to the name of the list.
Save searches you will run regularly. To reuse them, select the name from the Saved Search dropdown menu and then click the Find button.
To search by names or keywords, type in the text box, separating your search terms with commas. Choose which field you want to search (Contact names, Acct/Company, Email subject, or Contact notes). Click the Find button to process.
This will display the list of contacts that meet the search criteria. Use the Action for Selected menu to send these contacts a new email message, add them to a mailing list, export them to a file or send them to your Outlook contacts. Check the boxes next to the contact names, and then choose an action.
Use attribute criteria when you want to find contacts based on specific information about them and their relationship with you. Expand the pick list by clicking on the black arrow to the left.
In this example, the user is looking for contacts who meet all of the highlighted criteria. To select more than one criteria, hold the Ctrl key and click on the items you wish to include. To de-select an item, hold the Ctrl key and click again.
To process the search, click the Find button to the right.

Use the Action for Selected menu, to send these contacts a new email message, add them to a mailing list, export them to a file or send them to your Outlook contacts. Use interaction criteria when you want to find contacts based on communications you have had with them. Expand the pick list by clicking on the black arrow to the left.
In this example, the user is looking for contacts who called the organization (Incoming Phone Call) between March 17 and March 24. Additional interaction criteria could be added by selecting AND, OR, or NOT from the small dropdown menu to the left.
To process the search, click the Find button to the right.

In this example, the user is looking for contacts who received and opened an email sent on March 15 with the subject "Spring into More Member Benefits!" Additional interaction criteria could be added by selecting AND, OR, or NOT from the small dropdown menu to the left.
To process the search, click the Find button to the right.
